How to make very good profit from farming?

True green revolution

Living an organic life is the trend now. People love to spend a little extra on organic food products.

So lets see how one can start a business plan around it. Lets see how integrated farm works

Mix all possible animals and plants in the farm of at least 6 acres

0. BSF - We can use chicken manure and grow BSF. Cow manure can be included. Organic waste can be included.

Use egg waste, chicken feed and molasses for better growth

1. Chicken -  Country chicken and broiler :    produces - Eggs , Chicks , Chicken , Brooders , Manure, male + female, egg shell powder

Feed 5% papaya leaves for better growth

Wine in water will enable them to eat more.

2. Ducks/Swans : Khaki Campbell - Khaki campbell is recommended for integration duck-fish. As they are prolific layers they can be reared economically. These ducks start laying eggs when they are 3 months old. The annual average egg production is about 300 eggs or more.      duck, duckling, egg, manure, male + female, shuttlecocks

White pekin ducks for meat and khaki campbell for eggs

Duck eggs if not eaten can be used as manure for tomatoes

3. Goats/Sheeps  -  Meat, Manure, milk, male + female, Urine medicines

To feed nicely boiled gavar or gavar soaked in water overnight.
To feed jaggary mixed kanji. Kanji is starch water that can be removed by boiling rice in extra quantity of water.
To feed cooked ghruta, wheat flour, and jaggary. This give good increase in milk yield.
To feed boiled banana with seeds and rice.
To feed boiled ripe or unripe bael fruit.
To feed flowers of palas and shivari.
Following has to be done on 3rd day after giving birth of calf. Take Udad Dalia (Black gram) one ser = 960gm, little salt, little turmeric, little pipal bark powder. Mix all the above ingredients and boil in water. Then add jaggary. This should be fed to cow when it is still warm from cooking in evening time.
To feed giloya (geli) leaves and its creeper.
Mix Jeera (cumin) 10 parts, salt 10 parts, sauph (Fennel) 10 parts, Lavang (clove) 5 parts, white chandan (sandal wood) 2 parts, alum 1 part and nitrate of potassium 1 part. Grind the above mixture and keep it in bottle. Give one handful to cow with both morning and evening feed.
To feed boiled bamboo leaves mixed with little ajavain (Carom seed) with jaggary.
If after delivery a milk gland becomes hard and stops giving milk then it should be fomented with castor leaves.
Cow should be impregnated with bull whose mother used to give more milk.

Termite farming to Feed Fish and Chickens

  1. Take a pot with a short neck that can hold 10 litres of water.
  2. Fill it up with cow dung and straw and sprinkle it all with a little water.
  3. Set the pot upside down with the opening on the soil.
  4. After one day and one night, the pot will be full of termite.
  5. Empty the termites from the pot where the birds can feed on them.

Farmers fill a mud pot with old jute sacks, paddy straw, maize husk or any available dried crop stubble and dried cow dung. This has to be moistened with water and the pot placed upside down in the field.
If the inverted pot is opened the next day it will be full of termites and can be given as feed for the birds.

Termites eat up on the compost. So you must start a termite farm to keep them away from composting.

Grow mealworm for chickens

In Southeast Asia, it is very common to hang fluorescent lights above fish ponds. The light attracts the insects, which because of its reflection in the water, fall into the pond where they are eaten by fish.

Potting Mix Recipe

  • 1 part of good quality red soil/top soil
  • 1 part of cocopeat/peat moss
  • 1 part of compost (Vermicompost/manure)

For every 15 litres of the above mix, add 200 grams of bone meal, and 200 grams of oil cake and 200 grams of wood ash. Thoroughly mix them. Once the mixture is uniformly mixed, put it in a sack or a big container , cover it and leave it for a good 3 weeks time. Ensure that the mix is little moist. It should not drip when you squeeze it in your palm. After 2-3 weeks, the potting mix is ready for use.
Nitrogen: provided abundantly by leguminous cover crops, composted manure, fish fertilizer or alfalfa meal.

Phosphorus: rock phosphate and bone meal are both good sources.  Chicken manure

Potassium: kelp meal or greensand are long-lasting potassium releasers.  wood ash

Calcium: Egg shell powder

Magnesium: epsom salts will raise magnesium without affecting pH, while dolomitic lime will raise both pH and magnesium.

Sulfur: generally required only in alkaline soil.  Adding sulfur will slowly lower pH through microbial action. - See more at:
